How to Find a Revolutionary War Patriot

in Your Family Tree

Sunday, October 2, 2011

2:00p.m. - 4:00p.m.

Alvin Sherman Library, 2nd Floor, Computer Lab A

Have you ever wondered if a Revolutionary War patriot ancestor could be hidden in your family tree?  Perhaps you are eligible to join the Daughters of the American Revolution (DAR) or the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), and you don’t even realize it.  If you would like to find out, this workshop is for you!!!

Workshop leader, Debbie Duay, Ph.D., has over ten years of experience in genealogy.  She is the Florida State DAR Lineage Research Chairman, and she is the Registrar of the Major William Lauderdale Chapter in Plantation.  Debbie has helped over 200 people join the DAR and SAR, and she would love to help you find the Revolutionary War patriot lurking in your lineage.

The workshop is FREE!  Directions to the Alvin Sherman Library are here.  NOTE:  There is a parking fee of $1.00 per hour.
