Massachusetts Supply Tax and Beef Tax

This page provides links to images of the Massachusetts tax legislation pertinent for patriotic service (see Massachusetts Tax Acts immediately below)
and the tax lists in several Massachusetts towns that correspond to the tax legislation.
You will notice that the legislation for the 1782 & 1783 supply taxes include a schedule of the amount each town was required to pay.  
If you are unsure of whether you have the correct tax list for a town, match the total amount collected for the state with the amount the town was required to pay
as stated in the Act.  The amounts should be close.   (If there is more than one district in a town, add the total for all districts together.)
