STEP SIX

 

If you don't find anything in the public trees on Ancestry.com,

go to the census records and look for the

great-grandparents in their parents' household.

 

If you find the great-great grandparents, first try them

in the DAR Descendants Database and then try them in

the Public Member Trees Database.

 

The likelihood of finding a match in the Descendants

Database increases the further back in a

family tree you go.
