This ongoing project is part of the free tutorial "Researching Your Revolutionary War Patriot Ancestor."  Currently, this site provides a free index to over 25,500 War of 1812 pension application files for soldiers with last names beginning with the letters A, B, C, D, E, F, and G.  The War of 1812 pension and bounty land warrant files are currently being digitized. Complete files for soldiers with last names beginning with the letters A and B and some soldiers with last names beginning with the letter C are available online for FREE at Fold3.
